![]() ![]() This medium potency single target attack will activate the Lunar Nadi by default, but will activate the Solar Nadi if the Lunar Nadi is already active. Getting two Beast Chakra of the same type and one different Beast Chakra will transform the attack into Celestial Revolution. This offers the highest potency AoE attack. Getting three different Beast Chakra will transform the attack into Flint Strike (levels 60 - 85) or Rising Phoenix (levels 86+).This attack offers the second-highest potency for AoE skills and is therefore useful for dispatching groups of enemies. Getting three Beast Chakra of the same type will transform this attack into Elixir Field. These will transform your (by default unusable) attack Masterful Blitz into a variety of different usable skills. Each attack you use whilst in Perfect Balance will give you one of three possible Beast Chakra based on the form that attack usually uses. Perfect Balance removes the form requirements for each attack, allowing you to use any skill on your bar three times. These skills are both worth weaving into your regular combos when available.īeast Chakra refers to the symbols that display on a gauge after you use the skill Perfect Balance. ![]() The Forbidden Chakra is a high potency single target attack, whilst Howling Fist distributes damage across enemies in a straight line in front of you. If there's any mistakes in my rushed rant, please clarify. These skills share a recast timer. Got a long phase like Tonberry King? Build yourself up first, then before you hit that third stack go for a ToD -> IR -> Demo -> PB wombo combo!Īnyway, I'm at work and I can't elaborate much more until I'm home, but I wanted to get my opinion out there that there's no one time to always use PB, and it most assuredly shouldn't be used before you have Twin Snakes at least! Short phase like Ifrit or Garuda? Build stacks and throw on your dots before they inevitably teleport somewhere. I've found the two uses to be rather black and white depending on the main factor of phase length. It's used for two main things: building your stacks, or a string if snap burst. What does all this equate to? Well, PB is a finicky mistress. If you twin snakes when it falls, you cannot then snap punch immediately afterwards. You cannot exit PB in the proceeding for of an ability you used. (Please correct if I'm mistaken, but it's what I've noticed). This means form bonuses, like bootshine auto crit or DK debuff will not apply. On a 180-sec cool down, perfect balance allows the use of any form abilities, while not being in that form. I'd like to begin by outlining just how PV works, for sake of conversation: Now that ice had some experience, I can say it's not a clear window ability like stunning a primal. Frankly, when I first hit 50 I neglected the ability because I was unsure how to use it properly with all the conversation over it. Let me start by saying, I'm no Coil regular or champion if the DPS charts (that I know of), but I've played MMOs for about 15 years and scrapper-style roles come naturally to me. Still relatively new to end game, and FFXIV in general, and I'm having fun with all the things to do when there's no exp left to grind, but I've seen lots if discussion over one thing in particular about my class: Perfect Balance, and the time to use it. ![]()
